Definition of Endotoxins from the PharmacyDictionary.in

Endotoxins

These are lipopolysaccharide-protein complexes (normally associated with the cell wall of gram-negative bacteria) that are released upon death of bacteria and are accompanied by disintegration of the cell wall; they are toxic substances which are formed in bacterial cells, freed once the bacterial cell is destroyed, and produce deleterious effects within the host organism.
