Abscissa

Horizontal axis of a plot or graph absolute humidity.
In a Cartesian coordinate system, the term “Abscissa” is used to denote the x-coordinate or the horizontal position of a point. It represents the distance from the y-axis (or vertical axis) to the point, measured along the x-axis. If we consider an ordered pair (x, y) in the Cartesian plane, the first coordinate ‘x’ is referred to as the abscissa. The abscissa of a point is essentially the signed measurement of its projection on the main axis. The absolute value of this measurement is the distance from the projection to the origin of the axis, and its sign is determined by the position of the projection relative to the origin (negative if before the origin, positive if after).
