Anilinism is a condition caused by exposure to aniline, a colorless oily liquid that is used in the manufacturing of dyes, paints, rubber products, and explosives. Inhalation of aniline fumes can lead to a variety of health problems, including:

  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Weakness
  • Blue-colored skin (cyanosis) due to lack of oxygen in the blood
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Coma
    In severe cases, aniline poisoning can be fatal.
