Hypogammaglobulinemia

This term refers to an immunological deficiency state marked by abnormally low levels of generally all classes of serum gamma globulins, with heightened susceptibility to infectious diseases. It may be congenital or secondary, or it may be physiological, which occurs in normal infants and which, when prolonged, is called transient hypogammaglobulinemia.
